The RHS Chelsea Flower Show is the most famous flower show and it inspires millions to get outside and get green fingered. RHS takes place every year, its in full swing and the shops in Sloane Square have decided to brighten up the district with flowers.
To celebrate the Flower Show, warmer weather and those blossoming flowers, we chose some beautiful floral print perfect from River Island. We were invited by River Island Studio to select a collection (how cool is that?!) We’re sure you’ll agree the floral collection is stunning and perfect for Summer cocktail parties, BBQ’s or lounging in your favourite park. Who doesn’t love colourful and vibrant prints? We loved this collection by River Island, it feels young, fun and still manages to be chic!
Enjoy the sunshine, smell the roses and rock a floral print or two!
Spring is finally here, but the weather is so puzzling, one moment it’s sunny and the next it’s snowing or raining. On the day of the photo shoot, you have no idea how freezing it was! Yes, Mother Nature decided to punish us. All we could do was try to warm ourselves up and go with it. It all worked out well in the end as the photos look great!
We found an oversized cardigan from River Island in the sale, we loved the pop pink colour which goes so well with the gorgeous jeans by Parker Smith from Los Angeles. The dark blue, high-rise, ankle skinny jeans are a perfect fit. We still love striking flat mules, they are chic and super comfortable to walk in. They are absolutely perfect for all occasions, no wonder we are so obsessed with our shoes.
We also love Le Labo fragrances, they are a bit pricey, but worth it! Le Labo is a trendy New York-based fragrance house. Our chosen fragrance, Another 13, is clean, musky and refreshing, it makes us feel like we have been transported into the middle of a beautiful nature reserve. Their brand is both unique and iconic producing excellent handmade perfumes and home fragrances. Once you smell one of their scents you will be totally hooked..
We are so excited the warmer weather has finally arrived and the flowers are blossoming. We are full of the joys of Spring.

We love to wear sport outfits. They are chic without having to actually go to the gym. How great is that? Sport Luxe has become more and more popular. Just because you dress down doesn’t mean you have to lose your style.
Our outfits have clean lines, bold colour stripes and comfort. It can be as simple as wearing mules or graffiti and embellished trainers are currently big trends for spring/summer. The mules trend isn’t going away anytime soon, loving it!
We fell in love with a khaki puffer jacket thats as high-fashion as it is practical, whats not to love? It’s like marmite – you either love it or hate it.
By the way curly hair rocks, You’re rocking your natural hair and you’re beautiful for it. Seriously. You’re gorgeous.
2017 has just flown by so fast, we honestly can’t believe it has already been an entire year since we started Being Her. It hasn’t been easy but in the best kind of way. We could never have imagined that this crazy journey would be so exciting.
Huge sacrifices were made, but united we started our blog together. We were inspired by a true passion for fashion, we noticed people were hungry for real inspiration. So, we set up our blog to share our journey in the hope of showing a realistic view on life, while expressing our different personalities. We want to tell the world that you should embrace your disability or flaws and not hide from them. We feel it is important to challenge the world’s attitude and views towards people with disabilities.
We love combining our great passions in life; travel and fashion. Our blog gives us the opportunity to widen our perspective. The more you see, the less you hate. Prejudice is a big part of the human condition and the more cultures you experience the more you realise they are not that different from us. Being Deaf isn’t a barrier, being scared isn’t a barrier. Be brave, be courageous and new experiences will alter your life forever.
At times it has been a little overwhelming for us because it’s our job to keep up the momentum of Being Her. What makes us feel strong and positive is taking up new challenges and fighting back from failures with determination. We have experienced many difficult experiences, but no matter how many up’s and downs we go through, our experiences have brought us closer together and made our relationship stronger because we understand each other.
We have always liked to set ourselves targets and our aim for 2017 was to travel as much as we could… We were fortunate enough to travel to Greece, Lisbon, France, Iceland and Malta. We gotta keep travelling, whenever we can and our first visit in 2018 will be to Denmark. Travelling is a passion that must be fulfilled.
One of the many highlights of 2017 was being featured in ELLE South Africa, CNN, Blavity, Konbini, Marie Claire South Africa. Travel Noire and were happy to collaborate with Daniel Wellington, Airbnb, Illicia, Nanawax, Breast Cancer Care and Happy Socks. We are also excited to be working with a new agency, The Presley Group based in Los Angeles, what an amazing opportunity. It’s been a wonderful year, one where we managed to break down many barriers. With hard work and dedication we aim to make 2018 a year to remember… we’re ready to rock and roll. Our interview with Forbes Woman Africa out now inForbes Woman Africa Jan 2018
We absolutely love the stylish looks we have created, the boho pieces that will never go out of fashion. We love to wear tribal, colourful and free-spirited yet beautiful prints. The clothes you wear reflect your personality, making us feel bold and full of life. There are no rules when it comes to wearing a hat, it will always make an outfit never break it. Boho chic is one of our all-time favourite style vibes.
So, let’s see what adventures await us in Year Two of Being Her. From the bottom of our heart, we wanted to THANK YOU to each and every one of you!
Breast Cancer Care asked us to join The Big Pink Campaign, to add something PINK to help to spread the word. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Promoting awareness of this is extremely important to all women and is something that’s close to all of our hearts.
Last year we both found lumps which turned out to be the cyst at the same time. It’s very important that we check our breasts regularly. Did you know men can get breast cancer too? 1% of breast cancer cases are male.
Pink is BACK, it’s a fashionable must-have right now and the trend has been spotted on the street everywhere. We are in LOVE with the pop pink blazer from ASOS, with the most beautiful lace bodysuit. It is an oversize blazer which can be worn as a dress or with jeans. Kim Kardashian wears it too, without the hold ups hosiery. Forget those bodycon dresses, it’s all about being a girl boss in a must-have blazer dress. It’s flattering and fits like a glove.
Why the BIG PINK campaign is very IMPORTANT..
Every year, 62,000 people in the UK are told they have breast cancer. The diagnosis not only changes their lives forever, but also the lives of their family and friends. Breast Cancer Care understands the emotions, challenges and decisions people face every day. They know that everyone’s experience is different. That’s why they are there to offer support and information and campaign for better care.
Breast Cancer Care are the only specialist UK-wide charity providing support to people with breast cancer. Their free services include support over the phone with a nurse or someone who’s been there, welcoming online forums, reliable information and local group support. They’ll help people to live life with breast cancer and beyond. From the moment someone notices something isn’t right, through their treatment and beyond, Breast Cancer Care will be there.
691,000 people in the UK are currently living with a breast cancer diagnosis. Right now, Breast Cancer Care can’t reach everyone when they need them. With support, they can be here for more people, with care, support and information.
By us and supporting Breast Cancer Care, you can be confident that you’ll be helping people through one of the most difficult challenges they will ever face.
Fundraising ideas include holding a pink party, asking your family, friends and work to wear pink for a day and making a donation.
Help us spread the word, support ladies and raise funds for the cause.
